Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for improvement and apply Lean Manufacturing principles to eliminate waste and enhance quality, throughput, reliability and cost-effectiveness.
- Perform regular Gemba Walks and confer with associates to get input regarding deviations from standards, unsafe conditions and production schedules to have a better understanding of existing operational challenges.
- Provide training on Manufacturing and Maintenance best practices, machine specific troubleshooting & operation, safety, parts and materials.
- Analyze downtime and other operational data, issue Key Performance Indicators (KPI), prepare reports and make recommendations.
- Implement Single Minute Exchange of Die (SMED) techniques to reduce changeover times.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and One Point Lessons (OPL) to implement and sustain Standardized Work.
- Participate in Daily Management System (DMS) meetings with key personnel to coordinate efforts and ensure Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and other company goals are met.
