Inventory Management
- Perform risk analysis to determine parts & materials criticality and optimal stock levels based on frequency of failure/use, availability, lead time, impact to production, impact to the environment, safety, cost and other pertinent considerations.
- Research parts & materials to identify manufacturers, manufacturers’ part numbers and specifications, as well as alternative vendors, to reduce costs and OEM-dependency through strategic sourcing.
- Standardize parts & materials nomenclature and format the database so it is easy to use and manage.
- Ensure that the storeroom is well organized, clean, safe and secure.
