Engineering
- Apply knowledge of materials, electromechanical-parts, fabrication processes, tooling, assembly methods and Poka-Yoke to modify parts and systems to improve performance, increase life span, minimize maintenance requirements and reduce operating costs.
- Use Computer-aided Design (CAD) software such as SolidWorks®, Autodesk Inventor® and AutoCad® to model or reverse engineer parts and systems for machining, construction or training purposes.
- Make blueprints/drawings, determine dimensions, geometric tolerances, surface finishes, materials and other features required to fabricate parts.
- Improve processes efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, equipment layout and ergonomics.
- Review product designs for manufacturability and make recommendations regarding packaging components specifications to optimize machinery performance and changeovers.
